Responsibilities :
- Assess the needs and risks of children and families through
comprehensive evaluations. - Develop and implement care plans based on assessments, to ensure the
safety and well-being of children. - Provide counselling and support services to children and families,
addressing emotional, behavioural, and developmental issues. - Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychologists,
educators, and healthcare providers, to coordinate services and
interventions. - Advocate for the rights and best interests of children, ensuring their
voices are heard and respected. - Participate in case conferences, court hearings, and meetings related
to the well-being of children. - Maintain accurate records and documentation of case activities and
progress. - Stay updated with relevant laws, policies, and best practices in
children’s welfare and social work.
Requirements :
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Children’s Social Worker.
- Proficient rating based on the Professional Education Qualifications
(PEQ). - Strong knowledge of child development, behavioral issues, and social
work principles. - Excellent assessment and evaluation skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Empathy, compassion, and cultural sensitivity in working with diverse
populations. - Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and professional ethics
in social work. - Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work or a related field is
required.
